Julien Banchetti

My name is Julien Banchetti, I’m 34 years old and I bring a rich multicultural background to my professional endeavours. Born and raised in Italy, I have a unique heritage, with my mother being French and my father of mixed Italian and English descent. This diverse upbringing has fostered my appreciation for different cultures and perspectives.

I pursued my education in languages, economics and law during high school, and later graduated in Economics and Commerce from the historic University of Siena, one of the oldest universities in the world. Over the past 18 years, I have gained valuable experience across various industries and countries, honing a strong client-oriented mentality that enables me to understand and meet diverse client expectations.

My career journey has taken me through roles as an insurance and financial broker, as well as an export manager in the steel industry. I’ve had the opportunity to live and work in beautiful locations such as Tuscany, Milan, France and I made the bold move to Papua New Guinea in 2021. In PNG, I served as the Operations Manager for an exporting company (learning the challenges of logistics in the Country and how to overcome it) before joining EFM in March 2024. Recently, I transitioned from Lae to Port Moresby to take on the role of Shipping Manager. I am excited to be part of EFM, a continuously growing, multicultural, and detail-oriented environment.

Outside of work, I am passionate about playing tennis, reading philosophy books, and engaging in activities that foster personal growth. I believe in the importance of continuous learning and strive to become a better version of myself every day.
