I’m an Australian, from Brisbane and educated at Brisbane Grammar School. My early employment was at Associated Container Transport Australia and the McArthur Shipping & Agency Co in operational roles. I married Kathy in 1975 and moved to PNG in 1978, taking up a position as the Port Moresby Manager of Niugini Express Lines. After a decade of working in the shipping industry in PNG and with years of shipping industry experience I had gained from positions in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. I saw an opportunity to build my own business. I foundered Express Freight Management in PNG in 1989.
From two men and a truck in Lae I am proud to have built one of the largest independent freight forwarding businesses in the region that reaches across four Pacific nations and employs over 800 staff.
The EFM Group is family owned and run and with an excellent, multi-national management team that supports my vision, we provide a professional land, sea and air logistics services with absolute care to our customers.
